Emily Oberlander, MA, LPCC
Even the most well-adjusted of us encounter situations or experiences that require professional support. Sometimes the natural aging process or a personal crisis brings us to a place of seeking guidance. I consider it my unique privilege and honor to be part of my client's journey on their path to encountering their whole, authentic self. My therapeutic approach is founded in an existential understanding of the human condition.
I am a master’s level psychotherapist who has been licensed and practicing for over 12 years. I am guided by the belief that what often drives people to therapy is a fundamental part of the human condition, a desire to live with less suffering, and to understand how they are the way they are. I am what some people call a “person-centered” therapist.
I view all clients as inherently whole, rather than broken from day ONE. I deeply respect the courage it takes to seek therapy and the vulnerability it takes to engage in the process on the healing journey.

Caring, genuine therapy services.

Immersive Sessions
Particularly when a client is doing work with me to resolve the deep wounds of trauma, longer sessions are beneficial to expediting the healing process. This is especially the case when we have agreed to use EMDR to treat unresolved traumas. This may or may not be “covered” by insurance. We can discuss if this might be a good option given your unique challenges and.
